Primus impresses with its rapid handling and no fuss, classic pulley system. The portable parasol is easily set up or dismantled. Just take it with you, when you move to another comfortable place in your garden, patio or at the pool. Primus is the perfect impromptu sunshade for events, restaurant terraces or at home. The solid aluminium construction makes the Primus parasol a reliable shade solution on hot summer days.
As Primus Classic, the portable parasol is equipped with a pulley integrated into the plastic hub. Primus Plus is equipped with a comfortable high grade stainless steel pulley.
The central hub is the core of every parasol. It’s also the component exposed to the greatest loads as all of the struts of the sunshade converge at this location. Primus Classic is equipped with highly resilient and UV-stabilized plastic hubs. They are white or dark grey, depending on the colour of the frame. The Primus Plus parasol comes with hubs made of massive aluminium with a powder coating finish matching the colour of the frame.
It’s the inner values which count. Therefore CARAVITA sunshades are built with particularly strong masts and struts. The Primus parasol has a Ø50mm mast (3 mm wall thickness) and 30 x 15 x 2 mm struts. As an option, Primus is available with a slim Ø 38 mm mast which fits into most outdoor tables!
The frame of the parasol is available in white RAL 9016, anthracite grey RAL 7016 or silver anodized. Many more colours are available at an additional fee (see colour chart).
The Primus Plus parasol can be equipped with a stylish finial cap made of aluminium. The cap with ball comes with a powder coated finish matching the colour of the frame and provides a grand finale on top of your sunshade.

The ultimate in weather protection, this high performance fabric is PVC coated. Additionally Ferrari Precontraint 302 is waterproof, stain resistant, heavy duty and fire resistant (B1).
The fire resistant fabric collection TEMPOTESTSTAR FR made by PÀRA, is made of 100 % solution dyed high quality polyester and the special solution for purposes where fire protection is playing a central role.
Mast and frame of your parasol are either silver anodized or finished with a powder coating in one of over 200 RAL-colours. Combine with fabric colours and different trim strips to create your one of a kind sunshade.
Parasols made of premium acrylic awning fabric use trim strips as a seam on the edges. Create colourful contrasts or choose fabric and trim strip in a harmonic combination.

More accessories for Primus
With the Solamagic heaters it is summer whenever you want! Efficient infrared heaters provide comfortable warmth below your parasol. The heaters can be mounted either on the mast or at the end of the struts. Parasol Big Ben is also available with integrated heating.
With rain gutters several parasols can be connected. If it rains, the water drains alongside the rain gutters. The spaces between the parasols are leak proof. Especially for hospitality parasols rain gutters are a valuable option.
With side curtains your parasol changes into a pavilion in no time. All side curtains are made of high-quality Premium acrylic awning fabric or other speciality fabrics. There are different types of side curtains available.
Add even more stability to your parasol with support poles. Especially on windy days it is useful, to use support poles for the parasol for added strengh, particularly if you only have a light base. For additional stability cross brackets can be combined with support poles.
Push rods are a useful tool helping you to pull the protection bag over your parasol. By using a push rod you can lift the protection bag over the closed parasol and close the zipper. Push rods are available in various lengths.
