Sun sail masts

Aluminium mast Ø 50 mm

Technical characteristics

  • Aluminium mast Ø 50 mm
  • Wall thickness 3 mm
  • reinforced with internal, zinc-coated steel pole
  • available in RAL 9016 traffic white, RAL 7016 anthracite grey and anodised silver
  • other RAL Classic colours available at extra charge
  • Ground anchor only possible with ground sleeve, not suitable for setting directly in concrete

Available in RAL 9016 traffic white, RAL 7016 anthracite grey and anodised silver, or in all RAL Classic colours at an extra cost. The masts are reinforced with an internal zinc-coated steel pole for increased load capacity.

In the case of very long masts and very high loads, it can not be ruled out that the pole may bend. This can be prevented through sloped, backward tilted installation and potentially additional counter-tension with a steel cable.

Ground anchor

Please note: aluminium masts are not suitable for setting directly in concrete.

The Europa ground sleeve is required for anchoring. The sleeve consists of two parts, which are connected via a bayonet lock. The lower half of the sleeve is cemented into the ground, so that it is sealed off at ground level. If necessary, the upper half is simply inserted into the bottom half and secured with a bolt. Once the ground sleeve is assembled, the aluminium mast can be inserted and secured with knurled screws.

If the sun sail is not required, the mast and the upper part of the sleeve can be removed. The bottom part is sealed off level with the ground, because the practical sealing cap is held closed with a spring.

The Europa ground sleeve is available in K and L versions:

Short version K (Length of bottom part 25 cm, illustration on left):

The standard solution for normal concrete foundations.

Long version K (Length of bottom part 50 cm, illustration on right):

A special solution for paved ground or other special cases in which soft earth, sand or air between the foundation and the ground must be bridged.

Stainless steel mast Ø 57 mm

Technical characteristics

  • Stainless steel mast Ø 57 mm
  • Wall thickness 3 mm
  • Total length up to 6 m available
  • Ground anchor either through direct cementing or with ground sleeve

In the case of very long masts and very high loads, it can not be ruled out that the pole may bend. This can be prevented through sloped, backward tilted installation and potentially additional counter-tension with a steel cable.

Ground anchor

These stainless steel masts can be anchored in the ground in two ways. Please indicate the version you’d like when ordering, so we can prepare your mast according to the specifications:

Version 1 – with Europa U ground sleeve:

The use of a ground sleeve allows the mast to be removed if necessary. The ground sleeve is cemented into the ground, the stainless steel mast is inserted and is secured with a bayonet lock and steel bolts.

The Europa U ground sleeve is available in K and L versions:

Short version KU – Length of bottom part 25 cm:

The standard solution for normal concrete foundations.

Long version LU – Length of bottom part 50 cm:

A special solution for paved ground or other special cases in which soft earth, sand or air between the foundation and the ground must be bridged.

Version 2 – set directly in concrete:

Instead of using a ground sleeve, the stainless steel mast can also be directly cemented into the ground.

Stainless steel mast Ø 108 mm

Technical characteristics

  • Stainless steel mast Ø 108 mm
  • Wall thickness 4 mm
  • with flat cover
  • Total length up to 6 m available
  • for setting directly in concrete
  • The height of the mast changes in accordance with the installation depth

Wall thickness: 4 mm

Stainless steel mast (Ø 108 mm) to be set directly in concrete. Anchoring the mast with a ground sleeve is not possible. A flat stainless steel finial top is included in the price. The final height above ground decreases in accordance with the installation depth.

In the case of very long masts and very high loads, it can not be ruled out that the pole may bend. This can be prevented through sloped, backward tilted installation and potentially additional counter-tension with a steel cable.

Steel mast Ø 102 mm

  • Wall thickness 5 mm
  • galvanised
  • a flat steel finial top is included in the price
  • for setting directly in concrete
  • Ground anchoring with a ground sleeve is not possible.
  • The height of the mast decreases in accordance with the installation depth

Wall thickness 5 mm, galvanised

Steel mast Ø 102 to be set directly in concrete. Anchoring with a ground sleeve is not possible. A flat stainless steel finial top is included in the price. The final height above ground decreases in accordance with the installation depth.
