Side panels and rain gutters
Complete your parasol with side panels made of premium awning fabric or other high-grade special materials. Side panels are available in different models: closed, with mosquito net or transparent plastic film window. All models are also available with a door.
Parasols | Samara, Supremo, Big Ben, Amalfi*, Belvedere* |
* For Amalfi and Belvedere only with support poles
Closed side panels
Optional door available for all types and versions.
Side panels with transparent windows
Also available with mosquito net.
Attaching the side panel
Side panels are attached to the parasol struts with carabiner clips. Hook-and-loop strips connect parasols and side panels seamlessly.
Not possible without strut support
Lux type: aluminium rods in hem
Lux type side panels have a hollow seam for inserting aluminium poles. These provide additional stability for the side panels.
Connected by zipper
The individual side panels can be joined together with a zipper. This transforms the parasol into a pavilion in the blink of an eye.
Keep your guests dry
Moderate to high rain protection can be achieved by choosing the right fabric. For private use, acrylic awning fabric is usually sufficient. Drainage gutters can close the gaps between different parasols. Side panels protect against drafts and lateral rainfall. (Please note that there is no guarantee of 100% protection against rain when underneath the parasol.)
Rain gutter Free
As a Free variant, the rain gutter can also only be attached to a side of a parasol.
Sun sail accessories
Carabiner clips
Length 50 mm | Material thickness 5 mm | Breaking load 570 kg
Length 60 mm | Material thickness 6 mm | Breaking load 670 kg
Carabiner hooksserve to attach the sail to rings and hooks.
Turnbuckle
Length 150-220 mm | Breaking load 1200 kg
Length 220-300 mm | Breaking load 3100 kg
Ends with welded forks and bolt locking
Can be used without intermediate hooks
Sun sail fabrics will sag after a long period of time. To maintain optimal fabric tension, we recommend always using a turnbuckle. Twist the outer fork of the turnbuckle in or out to adjust its length. This maintains the tension of the fabric. Don’t forget to reduce the sail size in accordance with the length of the turnbuckle and maintain the correct tensile direction.
Eyebolts and ring nuts
Eyebolts are inserted into the mast and secured with a nut on the other side.
Ring nuts can be attached to the mast in two different ways:
Version 1: The ring nut is held in place by a screw inserted horizontally through the mast. It is secured with screw glue or toothed washers. Choose a screw in a suitable length for your mast.
Version 2: This is only possible on the upper end of the mast. Here, the bolt is inserted into the tube wall from inside the mast and is fastened with the ring nut. For assembly, the mast cap must be removed.
Stainless steel cable
Ø 4 mm | 6 mm
Ends with either threads or Niro thimbles
Larger distances must often be bridged to reach a suitable fixing point for your sun sail. A steel cable or a chain may be of use here. Note, however, that your sail will tend to swing in stronger winds, which cannot be avoided with increased tension. For further assistance or if you have other questions, please contact your specialist dealer or our customer service team.
Pulley system
Stainless steel block with 1 wheel | with 2 wheels
With a pulley, a hoisting system can be built easily (see illustration), with which all sails can be quickly and easily attached, even to high masts. The upper wheel is connected to the eyebolt here (no carabiner hook is required). More wheel blocks can be attached to the pulley to make hoisting more convenient. The lower cable end can be tied down to a cable cleat. Suitable padded cables (Ø 6 mm) are available in different lengths.
Shackle
Stainless steel | Different shapes
Shackles are a practical and versatile alternative to carabiner hooks. With shackles, you can attach your sun sail to masts, wall holders and other fixing points.
Wall brackets
Stainless steel | Material thickness 5 mm | Drilled holes 12 mm
Wall brackets can be attached to building walls, corners and in angles, in order to create a safely anchored fixing point for your sun sail.
