Close cooperation with specialised sun shading system retailers
Caravita GmbH specialises in custom-made parasols and sun sails. Since 2017, the independent brand Caravita has been part of the WAREMA Group, which is developing and creating its own high-quality Outdoor Living portfolio. The range focuses on solutions for the hotel and food service industries. Caravita is the expert here, with its individual parasols and sun sails which are perfectly adapted to the look, as well as the size and shape of the outdoor space.
Diverse shapes, designs and techniques
Under the management of Gunther Wettenengel and Markus Roth, around 55 employees work at Caravita today in their distribution centre in Gaimersheim, near Ingolstadt, as well as in the production site near Trencin in Slovakia. The portfolio is comprised of central mast parasols, cantilever parasols, giant parasols and sun sails. All Selection line products are individually made to measure in line with the manufacturing concept, so that different customer needs can be fulfilled. You can choose from the Samara, Supremo, Amalfi, Big Ben and Belvedere parasols, as well as various sun sail models. The sturdy designs in high-grade aluminium and stainless steel guarantee robustness, wind stability and longevity, while refined mechanisms make the sun shading solutions convenient and easy to use. The collaborative fabric collection from Caravita and Warema has been on the market since 2018, so that both brands’ individual shading solutions can be harmoniously combined in outdoor areas.
In use worldwide
Caravita’s premium products can be found on every continent: Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America and even Australia. The main markets are Germany, France, Austria and Spain. Applications vary from the hotel and food service industries, as well as public institutions such as swimming pools, nursery schools and retirement homes, to use in private gardens and on balconies. Caravita products are sold by specialist retailers.
Born from a creative idea
Caravita was created as a side business of the company founder, as Michael Caravita was originally a fruit and vegetable trader. Alongside this, he offered Italian parasols to his colleagues, which, with their bright colour schemes, did not necessarily suit the tastes of German traders. Caravita therefore founded his own sun shading system business in 1993 and produced parasols in line with his high quality standards and the needs of his customers. In 2017, Michael retired from the business, which has grown continuously. Since then, Caravita has been a brand of the WAREMA Group.
